Tennis Daw!

Posted on January 25, 2006

Ang daming bigating player like Maria Sharapova, Davenport, Hingis, Federrer and etc etc etc…

At nag-enjoy ako.

Well, wala ng pakialamanan! hehe

Kaibigan! Laro tayo! haha

i had tennis lessons when i was in gradeschool. ang coach ko pa nun was the coach for the Phil Junior Team..kaso natigil kasi pag dating ng highschool eh nagbasketball na ako. pano, lahat ng kaibigan ko basketball ang laro. hehe. punta ka sa Rizal Memorial marami nagtuturo dun or magtanong-tanong ka. :)

  3. skwayred January 25, 2006 7:20 PM

no wonder if Mamiit was paid to play.. kasi even Tiger Woods get paid to play in lower-class events. nabasa ko ynu minsan sa isang magazine.

i guess its still worth it na nag laro si mamiit as long as he’s playing under the philippine flag. OK lang yun =)

Kainis talo si Hingis kay clijsters. well, mahina ta talaga tuhod ng lola! shes been my idol since i was still in college. I will never forget that f—ng day na nasa finals na sila vs Iva majoli french open, nag match point na sya, pero natalo pa rin. yun lang ang tanging grand slam event na di nya napalanunan on the same calendar year: 1997 yata. >:

I do not know much about the sport. I am usually after the players. Hahaha! :D

  8. ayel January 29, 2006 3:57 AM

i looove tennis too! martina hingis was one of my favorite, but now, i don’t have any, i seem to watch an open with random favorites. i am on the side who’s close to winning. haha. anyway it’s really cool to play tennis, especially when you feel like your stomach looks like your boobs. my dad is a professional player now. i really wish to be like him. (haha, nagkwento ng buhay)

anyway you’re right about that, i haven’t heard any Filipino site about tennis or someone who won some tennis or just about a tennis ball held by a Filipino. believe me, if someone gets to be the filipino guy who picks up tennis balls during a game, he’ll be really famous here in the country.

    :) take care you!

haha aviva’s like training asian ball kids.. makasali nga. nyaha kidding!

  10. staticblu3 January 31, 2006 8:02 PM

    bakit

    bakit?

  11. Noelle De Guzman February 2, 2006 11:52 PM

Asar lang kasi walang time to update.

hi jong!I have a daughter who is competing in the age groups. She was ranked 10 sa age group 12 and under. I likewise play every weekend with my wife. We belong to a tennis club in Citadella in Las Pinas. If you want to help, baka pwede kang gumawa ng semi-interactive website for Philta at i-host natin in a free web host. Kung ang aasahan natin ay ang support from the government, walang mangyayari. Sariling kayod. Ako nga ay todo kayod just to support her. Nakakahinayang kasi pag di mo susuportahan. She loves to compete. Anyway, my point is, if you have the interest and talent in web development, why not use it to help Philippine Tennis. Who knows, baka maging Don Secuya ka (web developer of mannypacquiao.ph). Kasi if we can have a web page, we might be able to attract interest of Filipinos worldwide into supporting Philippine tennis. O sige, you have my email address. Keep in touch and let us exchange ideas on how we can do something about our situation.

    thanks mr louie victor.

A forum or interactive website for tennis enthusiasts, na pwede nila makita mga announcements, tournaments and everything.

  16. Louie Victor August 2, 2006 10:31 AM

Hi jong!thanks for visiting the Citadella Tennis Club Blogsite. Kung di ka nalalayuan, you can visit Citadella where my wife and daughter and I are members. Many members play during weekdays pero sa mga katulad kong uring manggagawa, I can only play during Saturdays and sometimes Sunday. We just had a team tennis tournament during the last 2 Saturdays and this Saturday, meron na naman. I can email you the current player rankings and the schedules of tournaments nationwide. Galing to sa Philta. I have the email addresses of a few Age Groupers and once we have something, we can email all of them the URL. It will not be the official Philta website but at least, we have a virtual meeting place of Filipino tennis enthusiasts where information can be exchanged. I do occassionally bump into Johnny Arcilla (his dad and Chris Cuarto are some of the coaches that teach tennis at The Palms).

I can tell you, age 19 is not too late to learn the sport. You just have to be athletic and able bodied. I actually went into tennis seriously when I worked in Saudi (I was 25 years old then) and ang mga tennis enthusiasts doon ay halos gabi gabi nagtetennis.

The person who teaches tennis at the Citadella Tennis Club is named Al. I can hook you up with him.

Until here and keep in touch. Let me know if you want me to send you the data.

    All the best!

    Louie

  17. staticblu3 August 2, 2006 11:12 AM

    wow haba ah, hehe..

i’ll just email you na lang po…

  18. Louie Victor August 3, 2006 5:06 PM

marhaba jong! saan ka nagtetennis when you were in Saudi? In which part of Saudi did you stay? I was actually stationed in Riyadh, Dhahran and Jeddah in a span of more than 13 years. My daughter spent about 5 years of her life in Saudi. We would play in Samco Juffali and Arabian Homes and Saudi Wiemer compound in Jeddah and Riyadh. We had a huge group and my house was a building away from the Philippine Consulate in Jeddah.

Anyway, Philta advised me that they are planning to have their own website. That does not mean you cannot come up with your own as a tennis enthusiast. Just the same I thought I would let you know.

    Mabruk!

    louie

    Hi Jong!

When I am looking for the Philta site, I found this one. You said, you used to play tennis and stop but you are interested in watching Martina H. and Maria Sha. You wanna play again but expensive and there’s no enough playing fields in Tennis, you are right! I am also an avid fan of tennis and I want tennis to be a major sports in our country. That’s my dream. If you want want to play tennis again I will give you tennis rackets and I will introduce to the best coach in the philippines. Anyway, I’m not staying there I’m outside of the country but I can give you high level coach there to teach you for free. I like your idea thats one way of helping Philippine tennis. I want Philippine tennis to be big that is my dream. You can email and asks me about tennis and give you information. keep the good work. MABUHAY ang Tennis ulit sa Pilipinas!!!
